I suspect we've all got at least one whether they be pets, working dogs or a combination of both. A few of mine.

The big boy laying down on the left in the top picture is No.1 pest controller, hopeless for anything else. I bought him as a working collie but he's miles too big, I think Mum must have met a Burnese Mountaindog soon after she'd been mated, he's a bit ploddy. The other three are youngsters, the two welsh girls were purchased to bring on to replace my old working girl, just before the water board massacred the farm, their eager but there's now not enough work for them. Having said that they've produced some really cracking pups. They also came in quite handy when the pigs got out and invaded the yard this afternoon. ;D

Psycho do you ever have to dig him out or is he a master at the great escape?
I'm still working on number six, o/h is not so keen, he seems to think that five is enough (although he does admit I couldn't do what I do without them) but when I find that blue merle bitch pup slightly closer than Durham or Lancashire it will be a fait accompli ;D

Hi Stockslave , no never had to dig him out yet he comes out when he has dealt with whatever is in there or if he loses i never send him in but he finds the den before i get there and then he's gone but always comes home if badgers are in residence then he won't go near he had a good hiding one day when a pup so recognises the smell and leaves them alone . My best sheep bitch is also a fantastic mole catcher she know's just where they are, in out mole dead she has even stopped dead when rounding sheep just to catch one then back to the sheep . How funny would that be on one man and his dog ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
