Phew, only a couple more shows to do - Dunster and possibly Frome in September.
Yesterday was a lovely day, in spite of the unforecast rain... Honiton is such a well-run show.
We had a well-respected Blue breeder judging yesterday in AO Continental and he drew several British Blue entries and some from Little Bovey Charrolais also. Clean sweep for the Blues in all the classes, I'm pleased to report and we cleaned up with Champion AOB and Reserve Champion too - Asset & Effie taking top honours and Me handling our Nov 07 heifer taking reserve !! So we were well-chuffed. Had a lot of enquiries too, it being such a local show for us and Genus are coming to see us next week to see what white bulls we have. Doesn't mean they'll be buying, of course, but for us it's getting the recognition that's so rewarding now!
Really glad re Asset, as her two good wins have both been under very well respected BB breeders with a lot of experience and their opinion really does mean a lot to us.
For a complete (boring) rehash of the recent shows, the website's been updated !!
