With DC coming up and a lot of the other shows about to start, I am resurrecting this thread and making it a sticky. Good luck to you all and we'd appreciate a rundown.

Forgotten about this one! Good retrieve, Lynn. My house is starting to look like a nuclear bomb has gone off, as I am gathering up everythng that needs to go and placing it near the door...And taking the caravan out for the first time means even more stuff to gather up! We're taking that down tomorrow evening and getting our cattle lines all set up and ready for bringing the team down on Wednesday morning as early as we can make it away. As only one has been shown before, they are going to be fairly spooky and I'd like them to have as long as possible settling in before everything really kicks off! I really had forgotten what a palaver it all is for the first Show, although once you're in the routine it isn't so bad..

Morning all - back at last and sooo tired... especially as got up at 3.30 to check cob mare who's ready to foal.. Very nice show indeed, lovely company and weather - judging was a bit odd to follow but she ended up with cracking female and male champions and our friends the Dunns had the most amazing show! We didn't win a class ut I came second with Enzo, the baby bull, which I was very pleased about, and we picked up two thirds and a fourth. We have the youngest show team of all this year and it's definitely our turn to make up numbers to keep the calsses going but we still had a great time!
I was really pleased with our cattle lines - all the signs etc looked great and we had some serious enquiries for stock and that's the main point of going after all.
Haven't had a chance to catch up on here at all, so if I've missed any news, I am very sorry!

Well done Jules and the team I would have thought with such a young team, a second, two thirds and a fourth was slightly more than making up the numbers, I'd have been dead chuffed as I suspect you are, a team to watch for the future

Back yesterday, like Jules completely knackered, but a lovely show & the first time I can remember it being so hot, we're usually wrapped up in jumpers. Well pleased as the competition was very strong, a 2nd, 3rd & 7th, & my lot behaved themselves very well, the 2 ewe lambs really showing off by jumping all over the place on the way to the ring. So hot in the marquee the sides had to be taken down all round to get the air through.

Ooohh - well done Rose - so sorry I missed you - I was just heading off for the sheep shed on Sat morning when I got collared by some friends who I hadn't expected and then got waylaid with offers of a drink or three in the bar... oooppps - we need to make a proper arrangment for drinks etc at RC with Pat if you're coming too ? Pips and I cleaned out the show box, trailers and have cleaned the caravan top to bottom today, so we're half-way there for Bath and West now. Phil's on mowing for friends in their machinery ring today, mowing here tomorrow, so silage is now officially well underway and takes precedence.

Yes really must meet up for a drink, trying to meet up in the cattle sheds or sheep marquee doesn't work, will PM you my mobile. Really looking forward to Cornwall, hope the weather cools down a bit but not to much.
