What Chesil beach is made up off A rather fascinating feature, I understand the pebble size is subtley graded from one end to the other so looking at how big they are you can tell how far to go if walkng along it.

The pebble size changes all along the beach and it is said that smugglers used to know what part of the beach they had landed on by there size of them
