As part of Suffolk Police’s commitment to assisting farmers in reducing farm crime, a vehicle etching and security day has been organised at six farms within west Suffolk on Thursday 3rd November.
Any farmer or farm worker is welcome to bring their farm vehicles or plant equipment which has a glass cab, window or small glass surface along to a session to be marked free of charge. Representative from Autoglass will security etch the registration number, unique chassis/ serial number or farm postcode onto the equipment.
The locations and time of the marking sessions are as follows:
8am-9.30am Lea Farm in Lea Lane, Great Ashfield (IP31 3HL)
9.45am-10.30am Red House Farm in Earls Green, Bacton (IP14 4SB)
10.45am-11.30am Fenn Farm in Bildeston Road, Combs (IP14 2JZ)
11.45am-12.30pm Loose Hall Farm in Loose Hall Drive Hitcham, (IP7 7LY)
1.15pm-2.30pm Stonnards Farm in Stoke by Clare (CO10 8HU)
3.30pm-4.45pm Kenny Hill Farm in Kenny Hill (IP28 8DU)
Security companies will also be on hand to offer advice and assistance to farmers wanting to know more about ways of further securing their property.

As was pointed out to me on BFF, the 101 number is now active in Suffolk to contact the plod. Roll out may have happened in your area or should be done shortly....
