They're lovely! Never heard of Hebridean collies before. They look solid little things. What is the difference between this breed & the 'normal' collie? They look like they have fairly long legs. Btw. the one with the blue collar is my favourite - got a bit of attitude!

The difference is these weren't born in East Sussex they were conceived and born on one of the Hebridean Islands ;D Both parents working and sire from trialling stock. Bear has the blue collar, I don't think he has as much attitude and drive as his sister (red collar). The third should have a black collar but they've discovered a new game which is........unbuckle Fiver's collar and hide it up, then see if I can find it......so far it's game, sett and match to them.

They're lovely! Never heard of Hebridean collies before. Tut tut, Jackladd My avatar is my Hebridean collie ;D There's my other, different type, but even more feral one on one of the Aug headers [2009?] with heather all around her A friend told me years ago that any of their ancestors would have long been disposed of if unable/unwilling to work..... not that they are always beautiful workers but it's inbred to get the job done!

Bess the bitch pup has now been rehomed to a working home and is doing very well. Bear and Fiver are still seeking their adoptive homes via Protecting Preloved Border Collies.
