Hard to resist puddles of fog - yesterday morning at 2C Wow, very nice. Here drones are limited to 400 feet. I imagine you are higher than that.

It's the same here but in hilly terrain you get more leeway. I was sitting in the pick up, on the hilltop by a minor road and only went up about 100 feet, but it could have been about 400 feet above the valley floor at one point.

Even though you know it happens it's always a 'surprise' when light is about gone soon after 3pm. This is a good place to fly with small parking place and adjacent area is Common Land. All manner of birds streaming in all directions are worrisome though, If flying in groups it seems like they hardly look where they are going and almost blunder into it, just turning at last moment. So far.

Not used this much with all the poor weather, or rather not recorded anything worth uploading for a while. This is nice though.

Not flown this once since Rievaulx before Christmas - mainly due to short days and poor weather. It was calm and lovely late yesterday so a quick flight to check all was well for 2018 season

This was late spring last year, I didn't make it public at the time but mentioned it to the chap living there now and he said go ahead.
The small farm with tile roofs is where we lived in the late 1960s and the only obvious change is the decent sized shed with asbestos roof. In those days the large field behind was with it, as five or six quite long narrow fields with tumbledown flakey limestone walls. That is now farmed by the big estate I suspect. It looks like now they only have the field with track for a few sheep, and one to cut for winter feed - but there is another long narrow field alongside the access lane down into the valley. The stone barn at the very end was our den ...
The sprawling farm in the distance halfway through with big old barns was empty and near derelict in those days, it is converted to holiday lets now. And the modern house with silos was only a derelict set of buildings belonging to the smaller tile roofed (farm)house with cars and vans outside.

Rolling yesterday, on a field for hay mucked rather late due to being too wet earlier. This is mainly done with semi-automated follow mode, it went a bit wrong when I tried the circle round option, as the circling speed I set was too slow to keep up - and it nearly hit the tractor. In auto obstacle avoidance is turned on but it can't detect moving to the side.

I made a quick compilation from July archaeology missions. The longer versions aren't uploaded but are being looked at by someone today. The little field plots are very widespread but mostly they picked dry areas with the best soil. The standout feature wasn't noticed during the flight, at youtu.be/vtvyj0yoQcE?t=1m2s The large circle in a square compound with rounded corners on the right was only visible for a few days before the showers last Monday and is much less obvious now.
