Christmas Day flowers [1] at RGSP Towers. Arbutus Unedo (Stawberry Tree). Callicarpa Bodinieri (Not flowers, but berries with a fine colour) Choisya Ternata Daphne Mezerium Alba Forsythia Hazel: as usual, it was difficult to get the camera to focus on the tiny female flowers rather than branches

A good bouquet above. On yesterday’s walk I noticed Escallonia flowering in a heavily cut back bank hedge.

Taking advantage of a dry week to end the year with first serious heather burning locally. Lots of small fires, put out after covering not much more than a tennis court area - the idea being to create a mosaic of different ages which benefits everything up there.
