Reckon you could make some serious money, Mal, being the complete answer for any farmer looking to go away for a week or three... how many people with your experience and abilities are available out there to come and be able to take over a dairy herd or other farmstock for a few weeks, while the owners maybe have their holiday of a lifetime ?
OK, the big farms would have cover but the small to medium sized dairy farms wouldn't and I bet there must be plenty out there who would jump at being able to have someone they could have come in maybe the week before they leave, stay and look after the whole shebang and be able to come home knowing that, barring accidents that happen regardless, they've a properly competent person in charge, able to calve, milk, do any farmwork, be good with the machinery etc etc...
Nope - reckon you could be busy almost year round, Mal!!

Good Evening Angels,
Sorry i've been neglecting my blog lately. There is so much going on at home and stuff i haven't had chance to even look on here.
Erm, cows are alright, folk i work with are alright.
I'm doing more and more tractor work at the moment as we are building a new lagoon just now and have found a seam of natural stone which we are hauling away to be sold to a local aggregate dealer.
I will try to make more effort with this in the next few months
