For those of you that don't frequent BFF, I am taking the liberty of copying and pasting an appeal from Footsfitter:
Most of you know that Bob (Ploughman24) is struggling at the moment and so to is Maureen trying to push him around in his standard wheelchair.
With the nice weather now getting to us, it would be nice to get the big lad out into it while he can
With this in mind, would any member know of an Electric wheelchair that would be available to borrow, hire, beg, steal for a couple of months.......... or perhaps even buy? Enquires about hiring them hasn't turned up much I'm afraid.
Footsfitter.

Footsfitter and Phil have managed to secure a wheelchair for Bob on ebay, there is a thread on BFF showing the chair and also asking for your generous donations towards the cost of the chair. Details of how to make a donation are also given on the BFF thread. Thankyou

Restores your faith in human nature. In just a few hours, FF collected enough donations to fund the electric wheelchair, cover Phil's diesel and a bit left over to prop up the electric companies when Bob recharges his batteries. Now all Maureen has to do, is to run after him. ;D Read the instructions Bob. Preferably before you set forth

I have spoken to Bob today and he tells me that he is having problems with one side of him being completely numb but he is having phsiotherapy every other day which makes it manageable. It seems he is also having problems with the new bathroom/wet room in that he still hasn't got it which is an awful shame as it would make life so much easier. There seems to be some sort of holdup with the powers that be. Despite all that he is still his normal chipper self, bless him
