I managed to catch up with Bob on Faceache last night and he was telling me that he had been to have his eyes looked at on Wednesday. The results being that the right eye is good but the left one is not. We had quite a chat until he had to dive off to catch up with Nasa and what is going on at the spacestation.

I've spoken to Bob early this morning on Faceache and he seems very upbeat although he does have a few problems at the moment healthwise. He has gone blind in one eye but the other is good. The hospital seem to think they can do something about his sight next week. They have had to stop his morphine as that was causing a side effect. Apparently his kidneys are not working properly and he may be going on dialysis next week as well. He tells me he gets tired very quickly but he's doing what he can.

Having read the following posted by Bob on the mother ship, I thought it was time for a natter: no more help all gone they dont want to take the risk operating on me yes i am gutted but they refused point blank to do anymore for me so tablets will have keep me sane 70 a day oh joy no dyelises so the way to go is grin and bear it thankyou for the kind words and thoughts i shall not put much more on here the one thing i will ask is for any reading material please about farming i have been lucky and not had depression may turn up now but thanks for all you have helped with we are very gratful Anyway, I managed to catch Bob on Facebook chat and he tells me that they have withdrawn everything including the nurse and left him to the tender mercies of Maureen and his GP. I hasten to add the the nurse will pop in once a week to check there is nothing he needs. He did tell me that his positive thinking had done more good over the last eleven years than anything the Dr's had. Anyway I hope I left him with his positive thinking recharged a little and I'll check in on him in the not too distant future and if you look in Bob those are in the pics section headed Heads down fresh grass

I spoke to Bob this afternoon on Facebook Chat, he hasn't had too good a week health wise as the pain has been bad and the tablets aren't working. Having said that he did then tell me that he had a nice Father's Day as he had all the family bar one there and he took the opportunity while the grandchildren were out walking the dog to sort a few things out regarding the future particularly with regard to Maureen being looked after. He tells me that he did this now because the tablets are making him sleepy and his memory isn't as good as it was, but he's still fighting.

Hiya Bob, Good to see you look in here too Bills, bane of life I'm afraid - OH used to pay most of our household ones, while I paid the croft ones. Now we both have household ones and he pays the croft ones until the new people take over. Hugs to both you and Maureen Joyce

Hi Bob, bills are the bane of everyones life I'm afraid, a lot of folk in your position would probably stick em behind the clock & forget about them but then Maureen would have the worry of them later. So glad you had a lovely Father's Day, & managed to sort some things out. Keep your chin up.

I've had a bit of a laugh and a natter with Bob on the 'phone this morning and although in a lot of pain, his sense of humour is still there. Having said that, he would appreciate a pm or email from any of you, particularly with regard to whatever your doing on farm at the moment and it would give him something to focus on rather than all his numerous aches and pains. I did do a photographic virtual day out for Bob on faceache some time back where I a days work on the farm as if he was with me which he enjoyed, if any of you feel like doing another one for him we could open a board of virtual days out for him, which would keep him involved in the industry he loves without all the effort and pain Edit: I have opened the board for virtual days out and hope some of you will participate
