He's a bostin' big boy  [Just in case that needs translation - "bosting" is a black country term to mean good or great.] Years ago we had a Dudley lad come to the farm most weekends pidgeon shooting, his favourite word was bostin. He had got a bostin springer and if the shooting was good that was bostin etc.  |

Silage ran out last weekend, so this week most of the cattle have been turned out. Thursday morning it was the yearlings turn, glad to be out after 5 months in.

Nice to see, I bet you worried they wouldn't stop at the other end!
Really should be letting cows out any day here as they are scoffing more hay than expected having also run out of silage a few days ago.

Thanks Daveb, I really enjoyed that, they looked great I used to be on tenterhooks when mine went out wondering if the fencing would still be there, the girls are a bit more laid back about it than the steers used to be. |
