More heather yesterday - it is pretty good this year after being dire in 2020 from beetle.
Also the relatively cool but dry conditions are helping it last longer and build up more individual tiny open flowers without going rotten/brown.
In some years it is about done by now but usually pretty good from mid-August to mid-September
