Late yesterday, quite pleased with this one. That is very nice. So, I have a stupid question. Can you monitor what is being videoed while it is up there ? Or do you just take what comes ?

Yes it links to a smartphone, there is an issue with the sun on the screen making it hard to see, which is hard to resolve easily. It's much better on less bright days or near sunset.

There's been a bit of a break in these because my video setup needed a part, which more or less plugs in. Although it still flew and recorded OK you could not see the live feed. Technically it could be done under warranty but that would involve sending it in - or driving with it 40 miles to Newcastle - which I didn't fancy, so bought the part and fitted it myself. The last few days have been too windy to test in flight, so needed to quickly try it late yesterday when it dropped out at sunset. All seems working correctly now.

Treetops timber
Might try this again another day when they are working. They were planted mid-60s, the plot was sold at spring with two adjacent fields.
I would be surprised if they don't replant with native trees as it's a peculiar rough little plot with drainage problems. I think that's why some of them look sick, but the wind and sticky snow knocked a lot down over the years too.

Another one from the weekend, if I'd been there five minutes sooner the train would have gone right underneath which would have looked great - but as it was when it came down it had sooty particles stuck on it - not a good place to hang sheets out
