Worked quite well, does the camera have a 16:9 widescreen option for future use? (that's in 4:3) Vimeo is generally reckoned to leave the video almost as good online as on your own computer - youtube compresses it more and some subjects will turn out quite poor as a result.

I'm pretty sure the camera doesn't have that option: perhaps a case for video-editing software if it's at all important. The camera allows once only or continuous re-focussing, several different picture sizes and frame rates (but with the same aspect ratio I think), and you can set the optical zoom before shooting, but not during. I found the page whereby you can remove the extraneous messages and garbage from the Vimeo screen quite early on, and then totally failed to find it again later on.
