So it's that time of the year again... Fire up microsoft paint (or similar program) and add your Christmas avatar for one month only..... Don't forget to resize to 150 x 150 pixels to use it as your avatar (and save your original pic so you can change back after Christmas)

And before anybody asks...... No.......... It isn't a selfie.

And before anybody asks...... No.......... It isn't a selfie. Are you sure? Some of us aren't very clever at this changing stuff, so where did you find your avatar in the first place if it isn't your own pic?

I just 'borrowed' it from another site.
For a windows computer:
Find a pic you like the look of, right click somewhere on the pictures and hopefully you will have a box appear so select 'save image as' from the list. (some websites protect their pictures from being 'pinched')
I usually save the picture to the desktop, name the picture file something simple such as 'chrim_av.jpg'
Go to your desktop (or to the foldewr wehere you saved the picture) and find the filename you saved. I usually right click and select 'open with' from the list. I then select 'paint' to open the picture. You can use any editing software though. I use paint as it compliments my totally non-artistic sense of style....
Change your picture as required and you can usually find an option to resize the picture. To use as an avatar on this forum, the ideal size is 150 x 150 pixels.
Once you have your picture ready, login to the forum, select 'profile' and on the next screen select 'edit profile'. Follow the instructions and your avatar 'should' change.
