My beautiful 'Smelly' has now been laid to rest, her final moments were of tenderness and love, she wanted for nothing in the ten years that I had her. I learnt today that she wasn't the 25 years that I thought she was but was in her early 30's. God bless 'Smelly', a horse in a million! Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.us

Oh that was earlier than I thought. Only a few moments ago i was telling OH, just came up and took an Angel card then on here and saw your post. A very appropriate Angel came out - Angel of Light, which is where you know she has gone to now. Very sad for you, peace for her. Lovely photos for you to treasure. ((((Hugs))))

Gorgeous photos Lynn, and "Smelly" did so well to reach that ripe old age. You will never forget her as I will never forget my "Butty" who has been gone 25 years. Hugs from me xxxxxx

What a gorgeous pair of neds, Lynn - 30+ is such an incredible age, you must be so proud of her and Bob. RIP Chanelle.
I love the way we all have several names for our favourite animals - wasn't it TS Eliot who said there should always be at least three names ? Must look it up...

She had a very happy time with you Lynn, lost my old horse Barney just over 3 years ago, he was 30 had him since he was 6 months old, even Clare got to compete on him like I did, just found him in yard one morning laying there, so I didn't have to make the decision which I was so glad about. One day I will scan all my old pics of horses and get them on computer (when I get a spare minute) RIP Smelly
