Good Morning everyone . The birds are singing their heads off even though it's wet, drizzly and murky. It's a bit like yesterday which turned out to be sunny and bright during the day, so we'll wait and see what happens. New house for the geese hopefully in the making today, whether they'll want to go in it tonight remains to be seen. Whatever your doing today, have a good day and stay safe.

Morning stockslave, everyone. Brighter this morning than yesterday, some rather damp-looking sunshine but not for long, I fear! More cattle washing and practicing today - my last year's show heifer now has a calf at foot and is a much stronger and pushier madam! So I need a bit more time with her to 'persuade' her not to be bargy as I don't have the outright strength to win an argument.... ;D We're taking six down to Devon County - all bar one home-breds. Have been told that nearly all our co-competitors have been out buying recently, so I think we're in for a bit of hammering !! As long as ours look and behave well and our cattle line looks professional, I'll be well-pleased - been showing animals far too long to get excited about doing well with anything other than something bearing my affix/prefix!!

Morning all!
Nasty day yesterday with an easterly plus those big raindrops that hurt.
Looks drier for today.
DH playing with a new 'toy' - a hand turned chaff cutter I bought on ebay and which arrived in 3 pieces last night by way of 'Courier' from BFF. I'd been looking for one for some time and trust it to materialise just as we're hoping to sell up. However another useful piece of crofting kit to save money buying poultry litter, and better composting than shavings.
Stay safe.
