Got back yesterday completely knackered, to much of a social life at these shows. Lovely show as usual, weather a bit windy but dry which was the most important thing. Thrilled with my results as the Hampshires had the largest entry of sheep at the show, my shearling ram was placed 3rd, my trimmed ram lamb 4th in his class, my untrimmed ram lamb 3rd in his & my untrimmed ewe lamb 4th in hers, all classes were very strong classes so very happy with those results. Met up with Jules & Matthew had a nice chat, Jules was thrilled with her results as well. Royal Cornwall is a lovely show & I do so enjoy it.

Great report Jules and well done with the 'new' youngster Elma. I bet Georgina was thrilled too and hopefully will enjoy showing again after such a good start. Hope Empress will be OK. It's interesting to hear the insider gos from these shows Congratulations with your sheep Rose, you should be proud of them and all the work you put in. So glad you all enjoyed the show and the weather was kind. Perhaps I'll take a hol in that direction, maybe next year who knows

Sorry for not replying sooner been flat out cutting silage since show. Had a very good show with the south devon cattle. Had 4th with my cow out of 15, 5th with my yearling heifer out of 20, 6th with my young bull out of 14, 2nd with my senior bull behind the breed champion. Then in the groups I was in 1st only to get swapped at the last minute to 2nd out of 11 groups but I did manage 1st in group of 3 by the same sire. Very pleased considering there were 120 south Devon cattle entered at the show with a lot of big name herds turning up.

Very happy with him, saved a lot of good females. Hard to sell feedlot cattle from them around here, not well known.

Great results - the quality of the South Devons was tremendous, I thought! Think I spotted you on Saturday afternoon picking up ? Tractor and trailer ?
I am still tired and catching up here and quite glad no more shows til the day shows at the end of July!

Good report and show then Mf6470 That's a lot of competition so you must be well pleased. Hope you get silage safely gathered in.
