No 'staff' for us, Bob - it's a team effort and we all get down and dirty, All the NewPole cattle live with me as we've gone high health herd status, so I feed and check them but Phil does all machine work and heavy feeding plus scraping out etc. We all do the halter breaking, including 15yo Pip and Reg (76) is in charge of feed composition and buying in the straights and general advice. Paperwork is my responsibility and all website and brochures etc. We're about 75% sefl sufficent now in hard feed and bedding and 100% in grass, so it's a busy enterprise now. Being a three-way (well, four if you count Pip and we usually have to... ) partnership, we have our ups and downs but three heads usually are way better than one and so we're doing OK!

Don't apologise Bob - you wouldn't be the first one to say the same at all - the steward at Royal Cornwall always refers to Phil as 'my stockman', in spite of being politely corrected by me and Phil when he first did so - does it now as a bit of a joke !!
When we first started in the Blues, people also assumed that I was just writing the cheques and didn't actually do much, so I am overly sensitive about it, probably, as couldn't be further from the truth!! Luckily, they now know we all work equally hard to get our Blues known and so attitudes are very different.....
These threads are getting a fair bit of viewing, so just wanted to set record straight!

Got to say it, Jules & Co's cattle really stand out & are a great credit to them. Off to Okehampton on Thursday so will try getting some judging photo's this time as well as some of the show.
