As we no longer have a village post office I caught the bus up the hill to the edge of the next once-was-a-village post office and here are some snaps I took on the walk back down the hill.
I also found some very ripe and juicy sloes in the hedge for a snack
I'm aiming for the house in the middle of the pic as live in one half of it, lane is called Lazy Hill probably because it meanders a bit!
Despite the road warning signs cars didn't seem to slow down and bits got thrown up too
The hill on the left is an ancient "Castlefort" area.
Looking right now from the lane, our village church is amongst the trees on the right and the lone tree on top of a hill to one side of the main bunch of trees is another ancient site, marked on maps as 300 feet above sea level.
Behind where I was standing for the last pic some thoughtful basket had decided the hedgerow needed decorating

Flat walking all the way now
You can just make out the 3 spires of Lichfield cathedral on the right hand side
Lovely walk of about 40 mins including snapping time
