Thanks for all the kind comments. All looks perfectly normal to me, but then I grew up near Loddon. Lovely place, usually make a trip every spring to get my garden seeds there. And if I have won the lottery the week before a trip over the ferry home. Is that from Peter Bowden's place, just on the Chedgrave side of the river? Peter must be well over retiring age now, but knowing him, may well still be working. Of course I can remember when Cannels was a thriving seed merchant... Martin Cannel introduced me to the technique of putting a squirt of model aeroplane fuel into an air pistol before firing it - gave enough oomph to put slugs through wriggly tin...

Loddon garden centre, the only place I know where one can buy loose seeds around here. Just on Haddiscoe side of river IIRC as I park on little car park against river, don't know the people involved tho, but one used to work for Cannels, selling seeds at Acle sale he was telling my Grandmother when we went once.

Thank you for the pics Marshboy Loved the one of Rosie, she looks lovely. Nice pictures of the birds too. What breed is Maisey's mum? Red Poll she is the one, feeder cow, I mentioned in the good morning thread a few days back, the calf is pure and hence should be a keeper hence I named it, but won't have papers. They are just a bit of a hobby real the handful of Red Poll I have as I intended to go back to multiple suckling as father used to. I was planning to start pedigree blonde herd in the spring, when I replace the xbred females I have culled this year. The rest are either simx black hereford, angus or galloway, plus a few blonde x out of the hereford or simis I bred and kept. I have two blonde bulls hence the reason I would like to go pure, and the reason for blonde in the first place is they are cheap and I couldn't afford to get into blues Tho I would really like a couple of blue heifers as well. But I have to see what happens in life before any of this gets started.

Lovely pics Marshboy. Love Rosie too. Kind face! Maisie looks to be thriving. Well done you. I know north Norfick quite well, family having had property there for many years, (and almost a bloke - but that was another story - as were those marshes) My god daughter lives near Brundall but is not farming. She's just got a degree in business management at a very ripe age. Mid 40's now I think with a lovely family. It's donkey's years since I was there, having practically lived there at every opportunity in my mis spent youth!

Rest went over a treat, be glad to take the gas axe to this old thing when I'm done, snapped it and wrung something so never been able to get it lay right since, I only bought it to finish off a field 5 years ago when I pulled the head of my VN, so the best thing is probably to cut it up to force me to buy a new to me one.
