I've been tinkering with the IP cam as a security device in the yard now that calving is easing off. That's motion detection from skjm.com/icam/ and then I made a gif from the sequence with photoshop. It stopped grabbing frames when I walked round the front

That seems to work well, (although from experience the old bill would say it isn't clear enough or something similar)
Do you have to put a sign up if you are filming for security?

I had a sign before the cameras! The tank you can see by the crush used to be for road diesel but was attracting 'attention' - don't use it now. I reduced the size from 640 to 400 as it's still almost 2MB. You can read the plate in the larger stills and (just) in this when you know what it is!
At night you can't read them, as you just get a white glare from the IR LEDs on the retro reflective yellow. You could still guess the vehicle make though.
