The racing legend..... Died today aged 70. Without doubt, his greatest horse was his last, FRANKEL and you may remember I was lucky enough to see him in his last race at Ascot last September - it was just amazing and really emotional!
Frankel's owner, Prince Khalid Abdullah's, in the form of Juddmonte Farms, was one of his most loyal owners and his faith was repaid many times over with successful horses, FRANKEL being the last great one. So it's doubly sad that is was announced this week that PKA is dispersing his racing empire as he doesn't have a natural successor to take it on - also not a well man and wouldn't be surprised is he doesn't follow Henry quite soon.
Massive loss to the industry.

Poor old Sir Henry. Such a wonderful reservoir of knowledge lost and he was a gentleman too.

Sad for Lady Cecil and all involved to lose Thomas Chippendale after he'd won the Hardwicke Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
