First a neighbour got set upon by his friesian bull and ended up in the ditch with a few broken ribs. He knew it was a bit nasty but though it would be ok in the field with the cows. The bull went for slaughter the next day. Then DH put a pitch fork right through his big toe. Ended up with an operation to clean it out and a stay in hospital for a couple of days on intravenous antibiotics. It didn't work well enough though and it's now infected so he's hobbling about while I have to look after the farm and milk again. He had had a blood text to see if he needs to be on pen and strep, tylan or oxytet. ;D Then a friend got kicked by a cow in the parlour and has broken his arm. Lets hope that is the end now.

Sorry to hear about the run of bad luck your way. They say it goes in three's so hopefully that's the end of it.

Cidergirl, Look up colloidal silver for your DH's infection. Hope that's the run of bad luck over. Take care! Joyce

Then DH put a pitch fork right through his big toe. I did that too, it hurt. Alot. But didn't have to stay in hospital, just a trip to the cottage hospital (remember them?) for a clean up and tetanus jab. Badly twisted my ankle today 4 minutes into a 5 mile run

that is a run of bad luck, hope it's over now.I was chasing my daughter round the house when i caught my little finger on my foot running through a door, when I pulled my sock off it was sticking out to the side,I put it back in place and put a plaster on it, but blooming heck did every thing then stand on it or fall on it the next couple of weeks, I think every sheep I have had a go at standing on it
