Good Morning everyone . Heavy showers here this morning, so it's overcast and wet underfoot but the wind has dropped. The grass seems to be enjoying all the moisture, not so sure about me. The barometer is still going up and is now almost on fair so hopefully some warmer weather in the pipeline. My market cheque arrived in the post yesterday which put a big smile on my face. Unfortunately it arrived too late for me to go into town to bank it and I won't get time today, so it will have to wait a bit. Whatever your doing today, have a good day and stay safe.

Morning all. Unsettled here. Hoping for some more rain, or at least showers today.
Waiting to get T2 on some of the wheat. It's not taking any harm, though.
Take care everyone.

Morning all, dry here this morning, glad the wind from yesterday has subsided. Had 2 new foals in last 24 hours, have so far had deposit on 1 foal, and 2 others with people interested, getting a few calls but from people living too far away really, transport costs would be ridiculous. Oh well early days yet, only advertised 4 so far.
Market today have a look around, bought an Angus bull last week for a friend as he couldn't get in himself. Bulls too dear at moment to hire out .
Have a safe day everyone.

Congrats on the new foals, Heather!
Absolutely tipping down here - cow that was on calving yesterday had a heifer calf (BBx) on being checked about an hour or so later and when they went back to pick her up, she'd chucked out another - bull calf, dead.. Been scanned as well but twins not picked up. Am not too impressed with the scanning results of our vets!
Am in for a change of clothes, some breakfast, back into waterproofs and on with washing my heifers - who will not be impressed with being made even wetter!!
Have a good day, all.

Good afternoon! Nice to hear you're temporarily wealthy Stockslave! Great news about your foals Heather. Sorry about your calves Genuinerisk - I assume the heifer had been meant for breeding. Don't do too much you boys!! Hope the cattle were where they should be! My pheasant eggs were OK after all - pipped last night and when I got up this am one nearly out - now 7 cheeping free of shells and one imminent. I expect the other eggs will arrive today and I'll put them under a hen tomorrow. Next eggs in the incubator are turkey ones for a friend. I love this hatching stuff Joyce PS Imminent one didn't make it, should have remembered not to count before hatched 7 guduns....just hope I can keep them alive until big and strong.
