Hi there, I'm after a fodderbeet chopper you know the old fashioned type that chops the beet into little pieces by turning a big handle. Don't need it till next winter so plenty of time.

Gives you good muscles though Last year I bought an old fashioned, unused straw/chaff chopper on ebay, Courier [BFF and FD member] shipped it here and it's brilliant for making easy-dispose litter for chicken housing.

Big Vern, need to tighten my arm muscles, chop it during the winter with a spade & boy is that tedious, have been looking for one for a couple of years but most are way up country when I find one & would be expensive to transport. Usually have to chop up 5-10 roots a day depending on how many rams I have, & when it's pouring with rain & freezing cold I really don't enjoy doing it, one of these would make life a lot easier & pleasanter.

Big Vern, I'm down near Holsworthy, but would travel up to Zummerzet if you had such a useful farm implement in your shed or loft space, but surely you would have to be mighty muscular to get it out of your loft if it was up there. Will definately try to remember to remind you, in my case it's an age thing, remembering that is.
