I have been trying to post some photos but apparently they are to large, in layman language how do I shrink them.

This is relatively easy once you get the knack of it. All mine are usually too large so I go to imageshack, you don't even need to register. I'll try to do this in step by step instructions: When you get there a welcome sign will greet you inside a box. In that box you have a browse button and an image resize drop down box. I select 320x240 (for websites and emails). Once you've selected the size go to the browse button, a pop up box will appear, right at the top it says: Look in (and there's a drop down box). Select where you keep your photo's on your computer, in my case it is my pictures. Double click on the photo you want to select and it will take you back to the box you started with but the photo link will be in the box next to browse. Press 'upload now' and wait. It will then show you the picture, scroll down to 'links to share your image' and you will see 'Forum code' with a code starting URL http...... beside it. Left click on the mouse and run it across the URL code (it will turn blue), go to Edit (on your toolbar), select copy then come back to the forum, start your post as you normally would, then click on the right mouse button, a box will pop up, select paste and the URL link will appear on the post, then just post your message as normal.

I find it easiest to keep farming discussions on a tab and open another one for imageshack, you can then go between the two sites, which is what I did to post the photo above (it's easier for me to go through the actions whilst I'm explaining it). I hope this helps, if you get stuck shout

OB, I've just tried your way three times and it's not having it. This more than likely has something to do with the fact that the photo I was testing out was 3.40MB hence it needing to be resized on Imageshack whereas I see yours are 340.8kb plus mine are JPEG and yours is JPG.

I usually post from my desktop and just click 'open' in the same box that appears when I choose my picture. [and goodness knows where the white border came from ] Attachments:

Whats in the stooks Joyce ? Looked up machair, must look really marvelous That's quite an old photo Oxenboy, and those were hay - on the east side of Benbecula - peaty soil and rocky. Corn [oats, rye, barley] is usually grown on the west, machair, which is very beautiful in the summer. More people make black-bag silage these days.

There are a few fields just outside of South Molton that often have their straw in stooks, lovely sight.
