Good Morning everyone . It's dry and breezy here this morning with fluffy high cloud skittering across the sky. I'm still watching my little bitch, whose pups are imminent but I'm hoping to get to the shops today or we don't eat. Whatever your doing today, have a good day and stay safe.

Good morning.... Should be a good day here by all accounts and it's certainly a nice and sunny start. Won't make any difference to me though - I have an appointment with the TV later, to watch the Monaco Grand Prix. ;D Have a good day everyone.....

"Oh, what a beautiful morning." Had a nice heifer calf in the night from a cow I hadn't been watching. The few that I am keeping an eye on at the moment are all lying down chewing. "Oh, what a beautiful day. I've got a beautiful fee--------"

Morning all - not a nice one, wet and windy! The family who were coming to look over the place have been delayed by chicken pox! Hope the sun is shining when they do get here. The delay might mean I feel compelled to clean some windows

Well, afternoon now! Had a few chores to get through catching up after Devon County and a bit of new fencing to finish but have now managed to get all the mares and foals out 24/7 - yay and got the lawns mown, so that's great.
Thank you for the best wishes re Devon County - we managed a first with our homebred cow and calf, Joyce and picked up Reserve Champion male against the big boys with our 10 month old calf, so a good show. A fifth with one of junior heifers and the other three were at the bottom of the line but it was the biggest class of the day all breeds and some quality heifers in there - ours were also the very youngest they could be, too, which didn't help. Judge was a carcase man a little more than a 'breed pedigree' man, so ours would perhaps not be fleshy enough for him.
It's a long season, though and we'll see how it goes!!

Very well done GR, you must be well proud of your lovely animals and all your hard work. Is it too early for photos? Joyce
