I don't see what the problem is with driving at high speed....as long as the road is able to cope with that speed. if you are on a crowded motorway,then 70 mph is a safe speed or sometimes to fast....if you are on an empty motorway then I can see no problem with driving at 100 mph or more..why can we not have variable speed limits?it would make a lot more sense The M42 here in the Midlands does have variable speed limits specified by signage on overhead gantrys, of course its 70mph and downwards, often though the signs will specify an unneccessarily low max speed.

variable speed limits make a bit off sence and out here the roads are more open , but the nutter that comes over with a right hand drive car dogdes in and out on a packed road at three o clock needs his brain looked at on a strange road with the car packed , fool if you ask me but let him at it , just if you come to france drive at a little less than the limits and dont bring the flick on top of you that are not like the cops at home

HAHAHAHA years ago there were some germans over here in a wee toyota rental car thought the signs ment MPH not KPH any how wee toyotas are not ment to be humming along at 100 mile an hour day in day out HAHAHA must have be quite a ride on some roads any how wee motor went bang

god i hope not for his sake as if he gets stoped the flick can take the licence of him and when he goes home he will have to take a licence course form the start again Nonsense. One recieved an onethe spot fine and a telling off (usually in French) and nowt else is done about it
