Good Morning everyone . Another beautiful day, bright, sunny and with a breeze. The only downside is the flies are now out in force, the calves are now sporting yellow horn buds owing to the fact that although doused in Spoton one was found with maggots in the dehorned bud, so their now packed with summer fly cream. The pups are growing like stink and mum is doing well. Heather, I hope your mum is doing well and that everything went to plan. Whatever your doing today, have a good day and stay safe.

Morning all, beautiful morning again, lets hope it stays that way for a while. Got to get tidied up & dinner prepared early today, customer coming to look at lambs & stopping for lunch, some of the lambs need a bit of cleaning up owing to the very lush grass, so busy morning. Have a good day & take care.

Morning all, Mum came home yesterday, waited hours for Doctor to come and discharge her, in the end we just left, apart from lots of pain she is pretty good, will definitely relax better at home. Went with daughter to see Boyzone at Wembley it was great fun, in 2nd row so really good view, just what we needed a bit of cheesy music. Meant to have someone coming from Barnsley to look at foal today, if they ever turn up, bit of a journey, but be good if can sell another one. Have a fun safe lazy(?) Sunny Sunday everyone

Morning all - been all round the stock and it takes a while now, as they are at opposite ends of farm! Dogs like the walk, though and I keep telling myself how good it is for me. Wasn't on Friday when I feel a over t down the steepest part of the hill after checking dry cows - grass was very wet as well, so was soaked by the time I managed to stop!! Must've been very funny to watch... Dog roses are coming out, so Summer is here and it's when I am walking round the stock outside, rather than lugging loads of buckets of grub inside and mucking out that I remember why I do this!!! More weeding and starting to wash down the show heifers ready for Royal Cornwall. Luckily they are pretty clean from Devon County, so not too bad a chore. Hope you sell a foal, Heather and glad your Mum is home and I hope they buy some sheep from you, Grawley! Our silage is sheeted down too, Oxenboy though luckily that's one job I'm barred from as I usually managed to trip or get in the way (that plan worked, then!).
