Has anyone got any idea (because being technologically illiterate, I haven't) how you reduce the size of photo's to be able to post them on here. They used to come out as thumbnails on BFF but obviously it doesn't work the same way on this site. TIA

Where's welshdairyfarmer? Apparently the Animal photos topic has disappeared and the only reason I can gather for that is that if anyone started a topic then asks to be removed from BFF, that topic would disappears also.

Possibly it could be worth using a photobucket account or similar. I think photobucket gives you options on image size to post on forums etc plus it shouldn't use up the bandwidth of this site.

This might be worth trying if totally baffled. shrinkpictures.com/Note you have to save the result and then upload here or to www.imageshack.us / www.photobucket.com - don't try to hotlink from their resized version because it disappears after an hour or so. The bluefive mentioned earlier is very good to do batches, like a whole folder from your camera. My favourite for resizing is the free program from www.irfanview.com(note: uncheck yahoo toolbar add-on when installing unless you want it) It makes a really good job of resizing for forums as it lightly sharpens at the same time as shrinking. A sensible size for forums is maybe 700 pixels on the longest side, but 600 pixels is adequate. Usually these work out about 100kb file size.

Thanks for the replies, I'm now totally bamboozled. I'll have a play around but don't expect any photo's in the near future, it might take me some time to work out.

Thanks jc, you've made me feel a lot better, I was beginning to think I was the only plank in the barrel. It's great to have company.
