Given that politics seems to be horse shoe where the far right and far left come close to meeting at the ends just which side cause more unrest?
I am of the opinion that while what the far right preach is absolutely horrid very few people take them seriously and they are rightly labelled as dangerous. However, the far left seem to be held up as more intellectual and their view seems to be taken far more seriously.
As am example of this look at the amount of time someone like Shami Chacrabarti (spelling!) is afforded at the BBC. She represents Liberty and is representative of a tiny proportion of people.
Now this may lead into a wider discussion on the political bias shown by the BBC and its its sneering attitude toward the conservatives, which is fine if that sthe way the discussion goes. Just interested to see how people regard the far left and far right in comparison.

There is more to it than far right and far left. I think it is better to imagine it as a cross, rather than a line. With authoritarian at he top and liberal at the bottom of the vertical line and left and right on a horizontal line.
In answer to your question both the far right and left are a threat to our free speech and cival liberties. IMO because the far left will make everything state owned it most surely take peoples asperations away with it. I say more latter on when my brain isnt frazzaled

More like a circle. go far enough right or left and they will meet half way round.

I regard the extreme left and the extreme right as distortions of the centre ground. They are also more active and vociferous as they are more obsessive about their cause. The majority middle ground by comparison tend to stay quiet and not get involved; until they have their backs to the wall, and then they come out fighting. It's really just a facet of human behaviour and the way its always been since the dawn of history and always will be. PS I think the BBC are a bit leftie but perhaps not to the extreme. There again no organisation is dead centre, they will lean one way or another.

Anyone will appear to either lean to the left, right or stand in the centre depending on the observers viewpoint and whether that observer considers himself to be central or not. One persons central might be another's right or left.
