I've tried to post a YouTube on here this afternoon and failed abysmally. Normally I select the youtube, copy and paste the code, bring it over here, click the tube button, paste the code between the relevant points, post the thread and hey presto we have a video. It's not happening today, as soon as I press share on youtube it gives you a code. It still is but the code it's giving you if you do the above moves and then post, gives you a blank post. If you don't use the Tube button you can copy and paste the code as a link e.g youtu.be/oMP-HLV6Uwc Any suggestions please, is it just me or is everyone getting it

Ahhh now that's the problem, I'm not getting the full code, what I posted above is all I am getting. O/h has just suggested that it might have something to do with the secure https code on facebook

Thanks QB I've solved it Rather than using the codes that Youtube give you, if I use the one at the top of my browser it works. I wonder why they have changed it, I've always clicked on share before and used that code

It can be a fiddle getting this to show in address bar to copy Usually yo can just delete the stuff they add on the end It needs to look in this sort of format www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMP-HLV6Uwc&i.e remove bolded - www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMP-HLV6Uwc&feature=player_embeddedWhich you see if clicking through from this

Following on from Dogsdinner not being able to view the Youtube on the That was the spring that was thread in the Pictures section, 4wd has come up with the following:
Quote:
Youtube needs flash to work and you need a recent version installed. Old computers like my neighbour on windows98 can't cope at all. Anyone on 64bit Vista or Windows7 will find they have 'Internet Explorer' and 'Internet Explorer (64bit)' in their programs list. If the 64bit version isbeing used as default there still isn't a suitable version of flash for it - need to use the not-64bit version, or a different browser.
Just some possibles I've come across.

don't click the share, just copy it straight out of the address bar when you're watching the video. That way you've just got the direct link with no witchcraft added on.
