I was quite shocked how the Stonehenge sunrise watchers who wanted "to be at one with nature and the earth" walked away leaving several skips full of rubbish to be picked up by someone else

That sounds about right, preach one thing and do the opposite and they usually haven't got the wherewithal to realise what their doing.

I find the thirty-somethings who use my holiday cottage are the ones who trash it, and leave perfectly edible food, still in packets, in the dustbin. Co-incidently their car stickers are usually Greenpeace, Save the Whale and one with a badger's face on.

I know that is a broad statement, and there are some responsible 'Thirty Somethings', but overall they seem to be the worst of the 'bunny huggers'; except, of course, until it affects them personally. I well remember that one-time 'singer' Jay Kay who preached about saving the planet whilst roaring around the countryside in a fleet of BMW's. Hypocrisy or what?

You only have to look at the vast amount of rubbish left over at Glastonbury - which is always full of tree huggers and the save the planet gang - to know that they do not genuinely care about the environment. My friends daughter is taking advantage of this though by getting a free ticket to Glastonbury for picking up rubbish there.

Litter at Glastonbury? Thats nothing. You want to see them using that big metal detector on the front of their tractor and the 9 million needles they will collect afterwards!
