My sister has married into a farming family in Germany so have a connection to farming there although have never done it myself. sorry for that thanks for the advice, not going to be a one off so apologies for coming across that way. Will get invloved as much as possbile and may be able to help farmers with parts they might lose. Thanks

We had a metal detector club visit 3 or 4 times through winter, it was quite surprising how many pockets must have had holes in them in the past. Mainly they found half pennies and pennies but also a half crown. Several lead disc weights - resembling large buttons which were used when hand-spinning wool as they walked about doing something else.
