www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-15507374He was 84 but seems to have kept a youthful outlook to the end. He must have been in his 40s in his heyday of early 1970s. A great fan of Scarborough, he had a flat on the cliff above the Spa Pavillion and often spoke in the media to promote the place.

He was quite a character!!

On Thursday, the coffin will tour Scarborough, where he had a home, to give people there the chance to pay their respects before Sir Jimmy is laid to rest in the most elevated plot in the cemetery. Mr Morphet said: "As per Sir Jimmy's wishes, the casket will be at an angle of 45 degrees in the grave so he can see the sea. "In my 32 years doing the job, I have never had a request like it."
