A few aconites have come out since last Wednesday (Sunday today) but the majority are still underground I'm not going to say what these are (although most viewers may know anyway) but they, or ones like them, have been flowering all winter, but I overlooked them.

Plenty of the white flowers round here also RGSP - I was wondering whether to look out for woolly bears too!

I think I'm right in saying it's the white dead-nettle (lamium album).

I think I'm right in saying it's the white dead-nettle (lamium album). Yes absolutely. They are rather fine little flowers though aren't they? If they weren't so common, I bet the garden snoberati would be gushing about their "jewel-like perfection". Just because I'm a cynic doesn't meant I'm not right sometimes!

The flowers aren't just pretty, they also reduce swelling and break up mucus. Useful as well as very decorative.
