Last December the water company relined many of the water pipes around our village. Sadly it stopped two houses away from me. So I still get my water through a lead pipe Thankfully it has had no long lasting effects. Yeah right!

Do you use a lot of water ? The less the water sits in the pipe I would think there would be less of a problem. Or not.

If the water is 'hard' there is unlikely to be a problem. I think fluoride is more dangerous!

They did this round here some 4 or 5 years ago, although the lining will give the pipes many years extra life and was done with far less digging up than complete replacement, there have been a a couple of leaks to sort out since - including one was making a big wet patch in my field! (we are on our own spring mind!)

We have three wells on this farm, all have water at different depths and I can taste the difference between them. The one we use the most is 30 feet deep with 25 feet of water, I don't think you could pump it dry.

You need to farm in Texas may be drill for oil (Looks at map of US to see if mcfarmer's avatar is actually Texas)
