These were actualy taken last week on Jan 12th! Seen in the lanes round the farm when me and the dogs went for a wander. No idea what this is nut see quite a lot of it around usually much later in the Spring1

Strange isn't it that Meg also turns away from the camera ] I wonder if they can 'see' the autofocus? Some dogs seem to enjoy it and make great subjects. Perhaps you need to wave a sausage in the other hand. I was playing with this from yesterday in photoshop and rather liked this bleak effect. However I'm definitely getting tired of bleak effect now and would like to see the first hints of Spring. Soon be February ...

There's a colour version in Random cattle might work better? All that grey would be daunting.

Some little daffs in the background too. Some of those have been out since Christmas, 4wd. Very early down 'yer. BTW, I'm cheating really - that pic was taken last year, but the snowdrops and crocus are out now and very welcome they are too.

I managed to get some of the mistle thrushes as they help themselves to the mistletoe berries today. Checking the coast is clear, and then in for the kill There were two of them this morning but I couldn't get both in one shot.
