Been around to visit friend over the hill in Bransdale, it's about 5 miles direct but more than 20 by the road. We used to talk to each other on CBs from our tractors in the 80s Cotton Grass. I liked how the cloud seemed to echo distant Roseberry Topping. (hill) Near Bransdale

Is that a bridge ? Doesn't seem to be a road with it. Very nice photos.

Yes it does look like something else from that angle, it's a very narrow road which goes up to a little valley with about 5 or 6 scattered farms.

Really lovely photos and views.... love the cotton grass too. I do miss the moors, but not the ticks!

I've only been down there once but was surprised by how similar it was to home despite being most of 500 miles away! I think if anything we're a bit drier and often colder but similarly windswept.
