They sold it to a 'developer' who was going to make holiday accommodation. Then they went bust and it stood for years with roof off and no windows. At least one 'new owner' took over and promised rapid progress. Now it will be demolished and a modern cafe might be built on the site. It was a very substantial stone farmhouse style building, which could have stood another hundred years if they hadn't deliberately wrecked it. On a very busy road but parking was a problem, hardly room for a coach to stop. No doubt National Park planners would have vetoed any extension to the parking area, though the site was difficult with steep hill across the road and boggy fields and moorland behind. .
