There was a 90s dance music countdown on one of the freeview channels earlier and this came on. When it was out originally I couldn't stand it - I think you have t be in the right frame of mind - I quite enjoyed seeing it again. It is so tongue in cheek, fun stuff. Actually was surprised how many good dance tunes there were in the 90s - good time.
I never even noticed till now the joke near the end where Barbie's arm comes off!

Before they became infamous the Sex Pistols toured uneventfully, mainly lesser venues like Whitby's (now long demolished) Big Bamboo club. At the time I was helping out there every other weekend and stayed the Saturday night at my then girlfriends house rather than travel 18 miles home.
Anyway their manager didn't do any organising beyond booking the venue and telling them when to get there. They had to organise their own accommodation which you can imagine was a recipe for chaos. After the gig it emerged they still hadn't found anyhere to stay so we put them up in our attic. A minor claim to fame ;D
They honestly were quite 'normal' lads off stage and just another band to us at the time.

It's amazing how electro-pop classics like this from The Human League were done in the early 80s when a lot of people were at a loss to understand what it was all about. Tunes like this were the inspiration for what we now see as dance music. This is the music I came to love in my early 20s and was going out to nightclubs most weekends. And yes I did have weird hair (but I didn't do the make-up )

Mumford and Sons, The Cave Probably my favourite new song this year so far. The official video is poor though, prefer this and it loads quicker.
