Being forced to listen to radio 2 at the moment, because it's all my new tractor ( ) can pick up until it gets a proper aerial fitted. I've been quite surprised it is better than I expected and they do play some lovely older stuff. Here's one of Mike Oldfield's rather forgotten ones I hadn't heard for ages - Portsmouth.

Actually I used to like Oldfield but had forgotten all about his stuff. Two more.

And that electro stuff reminded me of another one time favourite - Jean Michel Jarre Fist one is a classic.

A song from someone who went on to greater things. The video shows the first commercial passenger carrying jet which went into service 58 years ago yesterday. The De Havilland Comet sadly was flawed and grounded after accidents due to metal fatigue. During the time it was grounded, the American Boeing 707 was introduced, faster and with more capacity it soon left the Comet way behind. One of those many British firsts capitalised on by another country.

Continuing the railway theme.. I'm partial to a bit of metal myself when in the mood. It has to be very very loud indeed. If you can't feel it, it ain't loud enough.

I'd never heard of him before, but I did enjoy that.

Paolo's video is very slick in that latest hit. It reminds me of The Killers from 3 or 4 years ago.
