A couple of things I have always fancied doing, but which one? Anyone out there been on either, any advice on best location around the UK, best time of year etc.?

I saw a balloon flying awfy low once when I was working in Cheshire. It came down with flame burning long and hard. Downwards it continued! Now going horizontal to the ground at a fair old pace until it met a hedge, cowped over to about 45 deg before rocketing upwards! Decided then that I will never be in one!!!!

Have done a hot air balloon ride and it great. Swimming with seals would good. There is an island off cornwall i think where you can swim with them for free if yuo are a member of some wildlife organisation i forget teh name of.

Thanks all, First Quadbod, of course, do both, why didn't I think of that. So I have looked at the map, based on the rejects pal's comments, Shropshire looks good green and soft land. Apart from the River Severn and the M54 not much in the way of obstacles. Thanks Fd too, I am finding out about the island of Cornwall thing too. Cheers all

Mum and dad had a balloon land in the field, the cows were not that impressed, but they got a free trip and a bottle of whisky out of it . They acually ended up flying/drifting over their own farm I understand seals have very fishy breath and are not that social either.

I recon there's a serious risk of getting wet if you swim with seals. My Mum always said you'd get a cold if you got wet feet, so I'll plump for the baloon
