Ugthorpe Lodge Hotel I always think it's a miracle the caravans don't blow away - expect they are literally tied down with cables. When you go along the road alongside the crosswinds are often ferocious.

Visited Cropton this afternoon and despite a rather dull sky it was OK for flyover. You can see the old castle mound quite well this time of year - I have tried to photograph this from the ground before with little success - in summer it is waist high with bracken and thistles, it would be much better if they had modest numbers of sheep in there. The new looking roof with white car in front is just completed new build. ( www.rightmove.co.uk/new-homes-for-sale/property-55824251.html ) A lot of the houses in Cropton are really quite tiny cottages yet sell for almost as much as this. Character v convenience? Video, not entirely happy with this due to the misty day it looks a bit soft when uploaded. Better full screen and 1080p or higher.

I was playing around with a new processing technique, which I only brushed on before - it has worked well in this clip from last summer. I must have watched this ten times already but only just now spotted my dog hunting rabbits!
Wasn't going to upload it but the summery scene is rather nice.

Just a quick whiz round the back of the village while sun was out late yesterday.

There's so much going on in this one that every time I saw it while editing I noticed someting new. Rather different to the usual more rural stuff. The stills below are amazing at full size. In the first one you can see the market top right - in fact I can see my cattle in an outdoor pen (it was a very big sale day)

Neighbour in action with his bale wrapping. There's more of the baling I might edit later. You can see the effect of a sudden thunderstorm and 3mm of rain which halted things about 3pm - they waited till about 6pm when it had dries a fair bit.

Baling video uploaded It's a shame the light is poor as it was rather late due to rain delay. In fact sun had set on that side of the valley - and quite dull.

Not really flown this since mid-June, it's surprising how soon you lose the 'feel' and forget minor details of start procedure - but nothing bad happened! I was planning to try get some heather shots over the next week or two now silage is done.
This was really just a quick test run but nice light as sun slipped behind the hill.
