Filling up Here they come Starting to line up This little fella is about a week old, last cow calved in July and the next one is due in Feb so not sure if it's early or late, either way very welcome, he is soaking wet here, so probably got separated from mummy and came the quick way back through the dyke. Nice Chx heifer calf All the rain has really made the coats grow Spot the two odd ones. These two were on a little 1/4acre marsh with adlib feed, decided to escape and spent summer with cows, didnt want to come back. The others push them out so I give them a little pile and stand over them whilst they eat. Tasty Turn my back and... All clean and ready for next bucket Hope you like.

Thanks, no other job full time small farmer boy, but most of my time goes into bagging potatoes, hence the cattle are the enjoyable break.

Nice to see photo's of your cattle, Chris, do you outwinter or bring them in?

They all come in usually any time now onwards, its all marshland we graze running down to broads, so too low for outwintering, river is proabably 6ft higher. They are making a fair mess where I feed out each day but its really too mild to have them in just yet, plus I'm so short of straw hopefully I can keep them out another week or two as its been drying up well the past few days. Im all in a ring fence so its easy to get them in and out, and they soon let me know when they want me to open the gates.

Thanks, will try and get a few of my fat bulls before they go shortly as people like them. Brundall is a bit more exclusive than where i live Used to be a good chippy there when they sourced the spuds from right place

It did dry up a bit lighter 'Teddy bear' and calf and a few fat heifers, yes they are rubbish, that should have been away but the postman decided not to bring my replacement tags for a week even tho I paid a tenner for overnight delivery. Been outside to clean up. Attachments:
